On our website you will find useful information concerning property located in the City of Milwaukee and the assessment process. We have tried to design this site with you, the user, in mind. Much of the information you see is updated and maintained daily.

2018 Biennial Exemption Reports

Biennial Exemption Report (PC-220)

This needs to be filed by exempt property owners by March 31st, 2018. This is for property that was previously issued an exemption.

Biennial Exemption Report - Multiple Properties (PC220A)

This form can be filed by property owners that have more than one real estate holding that was previously issued an exemption. Due March 31st, 2018.

2018 Personal Property Returns Available

The 2018 Personal Property (PA-003) return is now available.  Businesses with a personal property accounts will be mailed letters in early January requesting business owners to download and complete the form.  The completed and signed form is to be returned to our office on or before March 1, 2018. Property Assessment and Revaluation

The City Assessor’s Office is responsible for estimating the market value of all locally assessable property in the City of Milwaukee and producing an annual assessment roll listing all taxable property as of January 1st of each year.

The assessment roll describes the property, states the assessed value as of January 1st and lists the owner’s name and address. Property tax statements are computed in December using values on the assessment roll.

Appeals and Objections

Assessments can be appealed during the period between the end of April when notices are mailed and the 3rd Monday in May.

An objection must be filed by requesting an objection form and returning the completed form to the Assessor's office by the deadline.
